1. Introduction Welcome to MediRx – Pharmacy POS App. MediRx ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of our users ("User," "you"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use our mobile application and its related services.
By using the MediRx app, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. We comply with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023 of India.
2. Information We Collect To provide a comprehensive pharmacy management experience, we may collect the following data:
Business Information: Pharmacy name, address, GSTIN, and contact details.
Inventory Data: Medicine names, batch numbers, expiry dates, and pricing.
Customer Information: Names, phone numbers, and purchase history (stored by you to manage credit/Udhaar and repeat orders).
Device Information: Device model, OS version, and unique device identifiers for analytics and security.
3. Purpose of Data Collection We use the collected data to:
Enable Offline Mode and local database management.
Perform Cloud Backup and data synchronization across your devices.
Generate GST-compliant invoices and financial reports.
Send automated alerts for medicine expiry and low stock.
Provide customer support and improve app features.
4. Data Storage & Security
Local Storage: Your pharmacy data is stored locally on your device to ensure functionality without an internet connection.
Cloud Encryption: When you use the "Cloud Backup" feature, your data is encrypted during transit and at rest on secure cloud servers.
No Sale of Data: We do not sell, trade, or rent your pharmacy or customer data to third-party marketing companies.
5. Third-Party Services & Ads MediRx is a free-to-use app supported by advertisements. We use third-party services that may collect information used to identify you:
Google Play Services
AdMob (Google): To show relevant ads. You can manage ad preferences in your Google Account settings.
Firebase Analytics: To monitor app performance and crashes.
6. User Rights (DPDP Act Compliance) In accordance with Indian law, you have the following rights:
Right to Access: You can view and export your data at any time via the app.
Right to Correction: You can update any inaccurate business or inventory information.
Right to Erasure: You may delete your account and request the removal of your data from our cloud servers by contacting us.
Withdrawal of Consent: You can stop all collection of information by uninstalling the application.
7. Permissions Required The app may request access to:
Camera: For barcode scanning of medicines.
Storage: To save PDF bills and local database backups.
Internet: To sync data to the cloud and load advertisements.
